Generic headline

The wheels continue to come off the latest Sacramento Kings arena plan, as landholders in neighboring North Natomas who had been asked to fund an arena in exchange for having their land rezoned for development now say they can't pay what the Kings are asking. Instead, they could devote the money for a fund to build what the Sacramento Bee is calling a "generic sports facility" - or maybe youth sports, or arts funding. Look out! Wheel!

COMMENTS

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about. There is a world of difference between "can't" and "won't". Glad to see that you don't let the facts get in the way. Blither onward!

To quote the article in question: "The landowners' projections of how much money they can raise falls far short of the $400 million. ... Their land and that of other small property owners could generate about $275 million for an arena, their representatives said." They're the ones saying "can't"; I'm just quoting them.
