The Ten Dumbest of 2005
They're back! After a hiatus of several years, the Top Ten Dumbest Reasons to Build a Stadium return to fieldofschemes.com - and this year's race was so hotly contested, it needed an Honorable Mention category and a Lifetime Achievement Award just to contain all the unconvincing excuses presented for lavishing public dollars on private sports teams.

Excellent job as usual. But I feel you missed something. The San Jose Earthquakes left the Bay Area because they didn't want to play in a college football stadium with real grass, only to go to Houston and play in a college stadium with fake grass. I'm sure there is more too it than that.... but on the surface, that's what I see.

yawn, why make every post about MLS? The Earthquakes played on a field about as wide as my apartment. Anyways it was all about going somewhere where they thought they could get a stadium deal done, but you know that.
