Buns & Noodle appearance, NYC, Thursday

Just a reminder for NYC-area readers that I'll be on a panel discussion with Kevin Goldstein, Steven Goldman, Jay Jaffe, and Cliff Corcoran of Baseball Prospectus tomorrow (Thursday) at 6 pm at the Barnes & Noble on 5th Ave. and 18th St. in Manhattan. Bring your A's and Marlins questions — or, for that matter, your D.C. United questions, though we may have to sneak off into a corner to discuss them.

COMMENTS

I won't be in Manhattan tomorrow but what outcome do you predict for the Oakland A's? Will they stay in the Bay Area? Oakland? San Jose? Sorta related but not baseball, will Al Davis go back to LA?

I'm hesitant to make predictions when we don't even know if we'll have a banking system next week, but if I had to guess: I'd put it at 50/50 that the A's stay in Oakland for at least the next 10 years. The Raiders I can see moving more easily, but that may just be how I view the NFL — I keep expecting to see the whole league play its games on a Fox soundstage somewhere.
