Just a note that I’m doing a live chat tomorrow at Baseball Prospectus from 1 pm to roughly 3 pm. You can submit your questions ahead of time, tune in live tomorrow, or read the transcript later, all at the same location. Baseball questions preferred, but I can bend the rules and take one or two Anaheim Kings questions if the masses demand it.

Could you speak about the Oakland A’s stadium situation? Any new developments there? How long will Lew Wolff and company wait around for San Jose and leave for Portland, San Antonio, or wherever else?
Unfortunately I missed your question here (and can’t respond to questions at BP anyway unless they’re entered into their chat system), but I can answer now: Nope, no new developments. I suspect, as I just posted today, that the Dodgers mess, and then maybe the Mets mess, is going to take priority for Selig for the foreseeable future, so Wolff is just going to have to wait.
As for moving elsewhere, neither Portland nor San Antonio has a baseball stadium or any plans for one, and anyway Wolff doesn’t want to own a team there – he wants something that’ll create real-estate opportunities for him in NorCal. If this thing drags on for years, he might sell, I supposed, but we’re nowhere near that stage of the game yet.
